Beer For Super Bowl: Enough To Fill 6.6 Million Kiddie Pools

It is estimated that Americans will drink as much as 325 million gallons of beer during the Super Bowl according to the Stevens Institute of Technology.

In order to fathom how enormous of an amount of beer that is, the comparison has been made that 325 million gallons of beer are enough to fill 500 Olympic-size swimming pools.

But that is a TERRIBLE comparison, because most people don't truly understand how big Olympic-size pools are. 500 pools doesn't seem like THAT much.

So what if we compared it to Kiddie Pools instead?

An Olympic-size Pool holds approximately 660,000 gallons.
A Kiddie Pool generally holds between 20 and 100 gallons.

Based on these calculations, while 325-330m gallons would fill 500 Olympic-size Pools, they would fill 6.6 million Kiddie Pools!!!

Total Beer 325m Gallons
Olympic-size Pool 660,000 Gallons
500 Olympic-size Pools 330m Gallons
Kiddie Pool 50 Gallons
6.6m Kiddie Pools 330m Gallons

That's right, it is estimated that Americans will be drinking enough beer to fill 6.6 MILLION kiddie pools!
